At the recent NCRS meet in Bowling Green, my wipers did not work. I wanted them to work properly for Bloomington Gold. So, with the gracious assistance of Richard Coolidge here in Nashville, the was repair made.

We checked the pulse control module as well as the relay. Nothing. We found that one of the pins, on the plug that goes to the motor, had retracted into the socket. Ah ha! Repaired; still nothing. So now we head to the wiper switch on the dash. Not fun!

To install a new switch, we removed the drivers seat, so we could drop the steering column and remove the speedo/tach cluster. This is just to gain access to the switch. One portion of the switch is attached to the plastic bezel that surrounds the switch, CAREFULL! Once the switch was replaced, we sprayed some water on the windsheild and engaged the switch. All wiper functions worked as designed! :D

This is the only way to change the switch, that we were aware of. Gordon Killebrew, talked about a way they did it in the factory, but did not recommend it. If any body has a better way, it would be nice to know. The switch was about $35 from The Last Detail in Atlanta. It was quite a job! Thanks again to Richard, he took his time, and made it look easy.
