Yes, very small indeed..
Initially i thought it was the wrong hose, but it's a control hose, so to speak and doesnt need a lot of vacuum to go through. The main one for the headlights have to be bigger as they flow quite some HGs.

I converted a camping hand pumper that can do either direction (blow air or suck air) to be my vacuum tool of choice. When i want to 'create' vacuum without starting the engine, i plug that thing in and pretend to be a V8.
Works quite well actually. I find that with the engine on, i can barely hear a hiss or feel air, asides from the neighbors giving me the hairy eyeball due to the car running.
