Just bought my CE. It has 25,700 kms or 17,000 miles I'm the third owner and it came with a reasonable amount of documentation including the invoice for $32,500 CDN!!! Really appreciate all the info on this site and looking forward to being part of it

Thanks Iron 82 I'm on the C3VR as The Last Shark but that user name was taken here. TAO STV is my personal plate from when I owned a Mustang Bullitt and before I came to my senses and got an 82 CE!
Cheers The Tao of Steve

So far so good It seems to operate fine but suspect the seal will need reeplacement. Really enjoying the car lots of looks and comments. Not sure if CB radio is working, looks like it but can't get any response to "Breaker Breaker"! I had to explain what a CB was to my two kids. Getting ready for our local show Glass on the Grass here in Victoria BC july 16th.
Appreciate all the good info here Cheers Tao - Stv

Steve,I've got some advice for you on your rear hatch.Be very careful when operating it.Don't let the glass slam open. Those hinges even though there a good design they wern't made of a very good metal and are very apted to streching and then it won't work anymore. Most CE owners have the same problem and get so bad like mine was that I didn't even use it.There are no repos and the used ones that pop up on ebay are more than likely no better then yours.Take very good care of them and by all means do not get the replacement struts that ecklers sells. They don't fit right and they allow the glass to slam open and that whats makes the hinges spread. There is a member on this site that made some struts that work perfect. He also hand made a few hinges out of 6061T6 billet alum.I was able to get a pair and they will never strech. His name is Steve also.Sorry for going on so long about this but it is very important information.Other than that enjoy your CE and drive it.They are real good out on the freeway.Save the wave.
