At what point in the model year did manufacture begin in BG. It is my understanding that all BG cars had the two toned paint... Is that correct?

The only year (1981) Corvette was assembled in two plants, St. Louis and BG. Then in 1982 and to date all corvettes are assembled in BG. If I'm reading this correctly. Not all BG corvettes are two-tone. Two-tones were stoped in 1988.

It was my understanding assembly of the '82 was began in St Louis then continued in BG with the two tone scheme of the '82 indicating assembly in BG. Not meaning to imply all manufactured in BG are two toned. This is obviously not true... sorry for confusion.

So... you are saying '81 vettes were manufactured in BG?

Yes, some 1981's where built in BG.

Vin Numbers :
1G1AY8764BS400001 to 431611 are from St. Louis.
1G1AY8764B5100001 to 5108995 are from BG.

None of the 1982's where built in St. Louis. All 1982's to present where built in BG.
