I will have to get new rubber anyway as those are about 24 yrs old. I think the white lettering is what it's missing.

I think your right. Look for tyres that have the white letterings and then your tyres will be even more 8) ler. :P

Ya, I'm kinda torn between the two. I have always liked the turbine style of rim but at least the K/O's have the corrrect emblem on them.

I will be putting the turbines on for the judged shows etc, but I really can't drive it too far (or fast) with the "original" rubber. The tires look good & were stored inside so I figure I am safe for short trips anyway.

Speaking of liking Turbine's, I put these on my 80 MGB in 1982 (??)

Just buy the other pair 'Goodyear GTII' for the longer trips. And as you said 'keep the other tyres for judge events'.

That MGB and rims are nice. I saw a lot of MGB's down in Pigeon Forge, Tn. the last weekend in June. I believe they had a gathering of some sort. :D

8) photo.

I was going to put on BFG Radial T/A's. Are the GY's any better??

About BFG T/A's and GY II's. They both are the same in all aspects: Traction, Ride Comfort, Noise Comfort, Handling, Braking and Stiffness.

Each were rated good and least costly.

I bought the GY II's for the originality of it. These tyres were the same type and can get no points if you went to get your vette judged if you didn't have the original tyres that came with the vette.

Just wait till I get the CE out into the Canadian Rockies for some more pix. :D

Hey, we were looking to move down to Texas (Austin or Dallas) in the mid 90's. Loved the hill country outside Austin but some areas we were in were pretty toasted.
Those frigging fire ants weren't any fun either.

Thanks, SG is actually rarer than the CE's (only 723) but I think the CE is a more desirable car for resale. I like them both but I have been reminded to make sure to post the following info:
The SG is my wifes Vette....(I gave it to her for an anniversary present last year  ).

BTW: I have owned the MG from new...1980...never been winter or daily driven.

It took me the better part of a year to find my C3 and thats after doing months of homework.I finally decided to get either a 78PC a 82CE or a SG.Man that SG is such a sweet color.Well I found a SG 82 but the guy wanted way too much for my blood. It was a nice Vette and I'm sure he got his asking price but then I found my 82CE and that was it.Never looked back. But still that picture of your SG kinda hurts. That is one beautiful Vette and congrats on the CE they are nice.I do love mine.It dives like new even smells like new so I did good.

That's the "smile factor". :D
If you can get in the car & just sit there with a foolish grin on your face then you did the right thing.
